Meet Kori
The Heart Behind Better Together
Kori, Owner & Chief Animal Lover
As a foster child, Kori learned that animals of all shapes and sizes brought a sense of calm and love into her life. Her dream was to one day own enough land to have space for animals in need of love, care and a family. Her husband, Michael, made a promise to one day fulfill that dream after his military career. Today, that dream took even bigger shape with the purchase of their Troy, AL property and now includes the home of Better Together Boarding!

Meet Mikie
Maintenance Manager & Rescue Advocate
The Calm force behind every wagging tail
Mikie has been surrounded by dogs since before he could walk. His love for them runs deep - patient, steady and genuine. He has a way of understanding every pup that steps into our home, knowing just what they need to feel safe and happy.

From morning repairs to evening checks-ins, Mikie keeps everything running smoothly at Better Together Boarding. He's the reasons our gates are secure, our spaces are safe and every tails keeps wagging.
Meet Our Girls
Morgan, Makenna & Mya
We're blessed with three incredible daughters, each bringing their own special gifts to Better Together Boarding.
Morgan
Our oldest, is a wife and mama with a nurturing spirit that shines through in everything she does. She's never known life without a dog and never will - it's simply who she is. When Morgan cares for your pet, she brings that same gentle, attentive love she gives to her own family. You’ll meet Remmi Lou, her beloved ShihTzu who made her time at Grand Canyon University feel more like home. You’ll also see her oldest, Ridge, running the show like a pro. His love of animals is both natural and inherited. Train up a child in the way he should go and he will never depart from it.
Makenna
our second daughter, is easy to spot with her fiery red hair - and yes, her precious pup Jax got the red hair gene too! Jax is her constant source of comfort, and their bond is truly something special. We couldn’t be more thrilled that her little family is joining us here and that the care of your pet will be that much greater because she wants every pet to have what Jax has. Love, companionship, adventure and so much more!

Mya
our youngest, is truly excited to be in charge of all things that tell you more about your dog's day with us! She's the person behind the camera, capturing those special moments so you don't miss a thing. Whether it's a silly play session or a peaceful nap, Mya makes sure you stay connected to your pup while you're apart. She’s also going to be busy in the kitchen prepping only the finest of dog treat and frozen goodies!

We are thrilled to have our girls working in different capacities to help make this place the best it can be. Each one brings something unique, and together they create an environment filled with love, laughter, and the best possible care.

And we won't forget those sweet husbands who are always willing to jump in and help as needed! Rob's dog, Tater, may be your greeter every time you visit - he's our unofficial welcoming committee. You’ll often find Rob tending to the lawn care as he works to keep our place always looking nice and manicured. And Maddox will make appearances to help keep the facility top notch, always ready to lend a hand wherever it's needed.​
It truly takes a village - or in our case, a family compound - to create the magic that is Better Together Boarding!
Meet Katie
Our Farm Girl with a Heart of Gold
We're thrilled to welcome Katie to the Better Together family!
Born and raised on a farm in Brundidge, Alabama, Katie grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds. As a mom of three, she brings that same nurturing spirit and farm-raised work ethic to everything she does here. Katie loves all animals and has a natural way of making every dog feel right at home.

When you meet Katie, you'll instantly feel her warmth and genuine care. She's the real deal - a country girl who knows what it means to work hard and love animals well. We couldn't be happier to have her as part of our team!
Our Philosophy
Better Together
Because life and love are always better when shared.
We chose the name Better Together because we genuinely believe pets are happier, healthier and better behaved when they are socializing, playing and learning in a stimulating, comfortable environment. We also chose it because we know that in life we are simply better when we do it together!
